ADOPTION INFORMATION

All potential adopters are required to fill out an application to begin the adoption process. A Chicago Animal Advocate's representative will review the application. A vet reference is required and home checks must be allowed by the potential adopter. If potential adopter does not have a vet reference then a home check is required. Only a Chicago Animal Advocate's representative will conduct the home check prior to adoption.


adoption fees and inclusions

Canines:
Puppies (under 1 year): $350.00
This includes all age appropriate vaccines: bordetella and distemper. They will also receive deworming, microchipping, and a spay or neuter. 
***Puppies 16 weeks and older will also receive a rabies vaccines. Puppies 7 months and older will receive a heart worm test.

Adult dogs (1 to 7 years old): $275.00
This includes all age appropriate vaccines: bordetella, distemper, and rabies.  They will also receive heartworm testing, deworming,  microchipping, and a spay or neuter.

Pitbulls (adults): $250.00
This includes all age appropriate vaccines: bordetella, distemper, and rabies.  They will also receive heartworm testing, deworming,  microchipping, and a spay or neuter.

Seniors (over 7 years old): $225.00
This includes all age appropriate vaccines: bordetella, distemper, and rabies.  They will also receive heartworm testing, deworming, microchipping, and a spay or neuter. Seniors receive blood work and a dental cleaning if needed.

Felines:
Kittens  (under 1 year): $125.00 ($225.00 for 2 kittens)
This includes all age appropriate vaccines: FVRCP. This also includes a felv/fiv test, deworming, microchipping and a spay or neuter.
***Kittens over 16 weeks will receive a rabies vaccines.

Adults (1 to 7 years old): $100.00
This includes all age appropriate vaccines: FVRCP and rabies. This also includes a felv/fiv test, deworming, microchipping and a spay or neuter.

Seniors (over 7 years old): $80.00
This includes all age appropriate vaccines: FVRCP and rabies. This also includes a felv/fiv test, deworming, microchipping and a spay or neuter.

 

 

All adoptions fees are as is. Certain special needs (medical or behavioral) cases may have lower adoption fees, to allow owners to allocate the funds for further care of the animal.
